Diane
Froomes (Bakowski) was born in Melbourne and studied Cello with
Mr Henry Wenig at the VCA . In 1984 Diane travelled to the USA to study
with Professor Janos Starker where she completed her MMus degree.
Diane Froomes is currently Associate Principal Cello with Orchestra
Victoria and appears today by courtesy of Orchestra Victoria.
Born in Melbourne, Marek Bakowski
studied with Dr Thérèse Radic and Mr Edward Dorn and was
awarded the AMusA. and LTCL diplomas in Piano performance. Marek also
graduated BA (Hons) from La Trobe University, having specialised in
French and Philosophy. In his honours year he completed a thesis on
French opera under the supervision of the late Professor Keith Humble.
